To make your decision a little easier, we created a short MOVA buying guide to help you pick the MOVA Creation that’s right for you (or your gift recipient).
Not Every Globe is Equal
First things first, what are all the MOVA Products? We offer three different product lines: MOVA Globes (what most people are familiar with), MOVA Cubes, and 4″ MOVA Globes. MOVA Globes are the more “classic” globes featuring a rotating sphere on a top of a stand. MOVA Globes come in three diameter sizes – 4.5”, 6” and 8.5” – and in the most variety of designs. In contrast, MOVA Cubes features a globe encased inside a transparent cube with no additional stands. The cubes come in just one size and four designs. The 4″ MOVA Globe is a miniature globe with its own unique set of artistic designs. Deciding which product line you prefer is a good first step when choosing your new MOVA Creation.
Budget
If you’re on a budget, we recommend a 4.5” MOVA Globe – it features the most design variations and contains all the MOVA Magic in a sleek package. With each design starting at $160 apiece, this size is a great, well-rounded gift. If you’re hoping for a more affordable entry into the collection, 4″ MOVA Globes start at just $110 per globe.
If budget is less of a concern compared to making a statement with your décor or gift, our 6” and 8.5” MOVA Globes are sure to fit the bill for their larger, more eye-catching design.
Design
With over 40 designs, there are a lot of choices for you to choose from. Our designs, however, can be grouped into categories to match your interests.
Map junkie: If you’re into maps, the World Maps collection is good place to start. History buffs will love the Cassini Terrestrial (in white and green) globes, which display a historical map from 1790 with authentic nautical details. Other maps in the World Maps collection show current maps and include a variety of designs including classic, antique and metallic maps. The World Maps collection is primarily on the MOVA Globes, with select designs for MOVA Cubes. The Blue with Relief Map and Antique Gloss Finish MOVA Globes are the most popular maps.
Space geek: The MOVA Space collection features planets, moons, constellations, and celestial bodies from the universe that any space fan will appreciate. Jupiter, Moon, Venus, and the Satellite View with Cloud Cover designs are among our best sellers. The planets are available in both 4.5” and 6”.
Art lovers: Are you a fan of Van Gogh? Monet? 4″ MOVA Globes feature famous paintings like Starry Night and Irises. If you’re looking for a more unique art piece, MOVArt showcases designs created by local, modern artists using their own artistic style.
Specialty: Outside of these categories, we also have various designs including a Basketball, Golden Prajma Paramita Heart Sutra, and Love.

Size and Space
Another thing to consider is the space where the MOVA Creation will be placed. For your MOVA Creation to stand out yet fit into your decor, it’s important the globe is not overwhelming the space or getting dwarfed by other items. Here are the most common spaces people place MOVA and our recommended sizes for each:
Narrow chimey mantle or book shelf: MOVA Mini
Nightstand or small desk: 4.5″ MOVA Globe
Larger desk or soft table: 6″ MOVA Globe or MOVA Cube
Living room table, dining table, or centerpiece: 8.5″ MOVA Globe
Base
All MOVA Globes and MOVA Minis come packaged with a standard acrylic base. The clear, minimalist acrylic base is designed to enhance the globe’s motion and create more mystery for why the globe is turning. They’re also easier to decorate and match with other items. However, if you want to spice it up a bit, we recommend purchasing our alternate bases. Our wooden bases are best suited for decorative purposes and for placement on tables, desks, and bookcases. On the other hand, our crystal bases are better for executive gifts and work offices. They are priced higher than the wooden stands.
