Renowned artist, author, producer, and entrepreneur Justin BUA is internationally known for his best-selling collection of fine art prints, posters, and original works. Born in 1968 in NYC's Upper West Side and raised between Manhattan and East Flatbush, Brooklyn, BUA was fascinated by the raw, visceral street life of the city – a fascination that ultimately inspired his art. He attended the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music and Performing Arts, and his education was further supported on the NYC streets, where he wrote graffiti and performed worldwide with breakdancing crews.
BUA went on to graduate from the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. He honed his skills and developed his signature style there, incorporating graffiti, comic books, and classical elements. Bold colors, strong lines, and a distinctive urban aesthetic characterize BUA's works, and he gained recognition from art critics for his unique style and authentic depiction of urban life and the jazz and hip-hop culture.
